Our registered office is 164 High Street, London Colney, St Albans, Hertfordshire, AL2 1QF. By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What this service is, and is not
CarCoverCheck UK is a free, independent comparison guide and reminder service. We show you official DVSA vehicle and MOT data for a registration, publish general guidance on cutting the cost of car insurance, and link you to third-party, FCA-authorised comparison sites.
We are not an insurer and we are not an insurance broker or intermediary. We do not sell, arrange, administer or advise on insurance, and we are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Nothing on this site is financial or insurance advice. All quotes, prices and policies come from the third-party comparison sites and insurers we link to, who are responsible for their own regulatory status, their own terms and the accuracy of the quotes they give you.
Affiliate links
Some of the links to comparison sites are referral or affiliate links. If you click through and take out a policy, we may receive a fee from that site. This never changes the price you pay and never affects the order in which we show the sites to you.
Vehicle and MOT data
Vehicle and MOT information comes from the DVSA MOT History API. We present it as supplied and cache it for up to seven days. We cannot guarantee it is complete, current or error-free, and you should always confirm details with official sources before relying on them to buy, sell or insure a vehicle. The mileage-warning flag is an automated signal, not an accusation, and can be wrong.
Acceptable use
Use the site only for your own vehicle enquiries. Do not use automated tools to submit bulk lookups, attempt to disrupt the service, or misuse the DVSA data. We may limit or withdraw access to protect the service or the data behind it.
No warranty and our liability
The site is provided on an “as is” basis. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties and we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, from the data we display, or from any third-party site we link to. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page is the current one, and the date above shows when it last changed.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
